Gavin brings with him a wealth of expertise to Helmsec with his wide ranging business experiences and knowledge. Jamie has 30+ years of experience in commerce and law, both in investment banking and private legal practice. He has studied and worked in both London and Belgium.
Prior to joining PrimaryMarkets Advisory as Managing Director he was Head of M&A Advisory at Patersons Securities and prior to that Head of Corporate Finance at Austock (Phillip Capital) and an Executive Director of KPMG’s corporate advisory division. Before investment banking, he was a Senior Partner of a national law firm.

the Stockbroking business where he started then developed the Corporate Broking and equity syndication business for the bank globally. In this role
Peter executed many corporate transactions and became well known to major institutions and hedge funds around the globe. Peter had been responsible
for the distribution of all equity raisings for Macquarie for over 15 years.
Peter is a former member of the Australian Stock Exchange and former member of the ASIC Markets Disciplinary Panel.
Brett Spork has 35+ years of experience in the financial markets industry as a trader, advisor and senior manager both within Australia and overseas.
From 2003 to 2007, Brett was the Chief Executive Officer of E*Trade Australia Limited (a significant innovator in the delivery of online wealth management products and its clients included retail investors, institutions and third party intermediaries).
Before joining E*Trade Australia, Brett worked at Macquarie Bank for 14 years, the latter part as an Executive Director of Macquarie Financial Services. Also, Brett was previously CEO of both InvestorFirst Limited and BTIG Australia Limited. In 2004, Brett was recognised by the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation and admitted to the “Hall of Fame”.
Brett is Chairman of PM Capital Asian Opportunities Fund and a Non-Executive Director of PM Capital Global Opportunities Fund and Clime Capital. Brett currently provides consulting services to a broad range of financial and academic institutions. Tim has spent 8 years working as a financial analyst, beginning as a Credit Analyst with Macquarie Bank before becoming the credit risk manager at the market making firm Optiver.
Prior to joining PrimaryMarkets, Tim spent 2 years living in London working as an analyst for a growing FinTech firm (Capital On Tap) before joining the venture capital investment intermediary Quintessentially Ventures. He was involved in deal origination: liaising with incubators, meeting entrepreneurs and conducting due diligence.
Tim is a CFA Charterholder and finished Sydney University with first class honours in his Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (econometrics major).
Adrian has over 10 years’ experience across investment banking and funds management in Australia, Singapore and the UK. Prior to joining PrimaryMarkets, Adrian was a Senior Research Analyst at AVCAL – the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Limited having joined from Pinebridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments) where he was responsible for Primary and Secondary fund investing as a Limited Partner in Private Equity funds. Adrian also worked at Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse in various operations and analytical roles across investment banking and listed equities.

Rick has 30+ years of experience in the strategic planning and technical/operational management in the Australian media. Rick was founding shareholder and General Manager of Satellite Music Australia (SMA) which provides over 5,000 retail, hospitality and commercial businesses audio and video digital entertainment and marketing solutions. Rick sold SMA to Southern Cross Media who then on-sold it to Fairfax Media.
Rick was a key member of the Australis Media management team that introduced Pay Television to Australia which was subsequently purchased by Foxtel.
Jackson graduated from the Australian Catholic University studying Commerce, majoring in Marketing.
Charles is a practicing corporate lawyer at a large multinational Environmental Services Business, providing transactional, risk and commercial advice. Previously he has experience working in technology sales, funds management and commercial law.
With a background in finance and law, Charles carries a broad area of knowledge across company law, markets and regulatory compliance.
