Felicity Smart Infrastructure is an Australian technology company applying patented artificial intelligence algorithms to streetlighting, helping councils and road authorities improve the efficiency and responsiveness of essential urban infrastructure. Established in 2017, the company operates in a global market of approximately 350 million streetlights illuminating roads each night.

Its proprietary PowerAID™ platform monitors traffic movements and automatically adjusts lighting levels in real time, matching illumination to road usage in accordance with applicable safety standards.
Delivered as a managed software service, PowerAID integrates with all existing smart streetlighting systems, adding traffic-adaptive-lighting to an established lighting network.

Based on Felicity’s trials and in-market experience over the past three years, the technology reduces energy consumption by a further 40% compared with LED streetlighting, while lowering emissions and limiting unnecessary light pollution.

With no Capex required by the client, the cost of the Service is typically around half the value of the energy savings it delivers, enabling customers to improve infrastructure performance while reducing net operating costs.

Felicity’s complementary TrafficAID™ service transforms traffic data collected through deployments into actionable insights and integrations with physical infrastructure, including traffic signalling.
These capabilities support more responsive traffic management, helping improve road network efficiency and reduce congestion.

With its technology platform complete, technology integrations done, Patents granted and 50+ trials evidencing the impressive cost / benefit case to clients, the Company is now rolling out its software across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Europe.
